About The Festival

Founded in 2026, the Netherlee Chamber Music Festival is based in the Southside of Glasgow, Scotland. With a focus on bringing classical music of the highest quality to Greater Glasgow, the Festival will host accessible concerts across the first weekend of September.

The multi-award winning Lumas Winds, founders and artistic directors, aim to use their experience within both the UK and International chamber music scenes to provide a wide-ranging programme of classical music in intimate settings. Centering around creative collaboration, the Festival will establish a platform to explore popular but under-performed repertoire as well as new music by living composers.

The weekend will also include outreach work, as Lumas Winds visit local schools to help give students the chance to hear high level music making for free. This is further highlighted by the Festival’s family concert, with engaging storytelling and free tickets to young people.

In 2026, the programme will include Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf with narrator Lucy Drever; Mozart’s ‘Kegelstatt’ Trio; Janáček’s Mládí; and Gershwin’s An American in Paris as well as works by composer Sally Beamish to celebrate her 70th birthday this year. Tickets will cost £15 or £5 for Under 25s.

The inaugural Netherlee Chamber Music Festival will take place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th of September 2026. Lumas Winds will be joined by Julian Chan (piano), Emily Rose Clark (viola), Aaron Hartnell-Booth (clarinet), and Lucy Drever (narrator).
